May 2023 Minutes Moy Park Liaison Meeting
Notes of Moy Park Liaison meeting held on Tuesday 30th May 2023, 2.30pm at Moy Park, Anwick.
Attendance:- Jonathan Oldfield General Manager Moy Park, Simon Aldous Health & Safety & Environment Manager Moy Park, Nick Burgess Manager Moy Park, Cassie North Environment Agency, Steve Webb Waste and Recycling Anglian Water, Jeanne Flanagan Clerk to Anwick Parish Council.
Apologies:- Lorraine Curtis Cllr for Anwick Parish Council, Kate Stark Environment Agency, J Hansen Environment Officer, Danny Sturton resident of Anwick.
Update from Moy Park:- The Round House awaiting structural evaluation, site needs to be cleared for the architect to visit and view, awaiting the report. Jeanne spoke about whether funding may be available to help with the refurbishment.
House No. 44 Main Street looking to rent in the future.
Complaints received 2 for odour on 7th and 14TH May 2023. No complaints for noise. Regulated by the Environment Agency and the audit in March showed 0% conformity. They will visit later this year and is regulated on air, land and water.
Working to be green by 2040 zero carbon, customers expect it. Fleet lorries now run on natural gas and generate electricity. They are working hard with the water effluent and de-sludge prior to discharge.
There is a bio diversity team on site. The front of the site had been seeded with wild flowers with plaques to indicate this. There will be more tree planting. The Woodland Trust to visit the site. There has been a pond produced in River Lane, which the ducks use. Hand made bird boxes have been installed, again with the Moy Park logo on. Also hand made planters have been made and have received visits by schools.
The Clerk reported that Parkers Garden Centre have very kindly agreed to provide planters with flowers spaced around the village. Once the Clerk has further information, then she will contact Moy Park to help with the cost of the flowers.
The Clerk also asked whether the funding from Moy Park is still available, as the Parish Council have another quotation that can be submitted.
POST MEETING NOTE: Simon has advised Jeanne that there is £4,500.00 available to help with the refurbishment of a new kitchen in the Community Centre. Jeanne to submit quotations so the money can be released for payment.
